Hi,
We are staying in Tremezzo for 5 days, but have 6 days prior to this to stay somewhere else around the lake. We have a car and will be travelling from Milan Bergamo airport so have flexibility.
Were thinking of Como town, but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions that would be worth staying at?
thank you x

We have booked our first trip to Europe this summer. We are so excited. It will be my wife and I with our 14 and 17 year old daughters.
I have booked my flights and airbnb/VRBO's already so our trip outline is set. This message board seems to have quite a bit of helpful people with experience traveling to these areas, so I thought I would share ou... Read More

My husband and I will have a two day layover in Frankfurt at the end of a trip and are wondering if anyone here can recommend somewhere they have enjoyed visiting nearby that would be easily travelled to by train. We will have already visited Frankfurt and Bacharach at the beginning of our trip.

Hey everyone,
I'm planning to go to Europe this year for an extended period of time. Thinking around 4.5 months, from early August to mid December (which, yes, might not be ideal, but it's the soonest I can go for various reasons). I'm 21, graduating university in a couple months, and I work full time (remotely due to COVID-19, this trip depends... Read More

So I'm wondering what would be the best option for data when i get to Europe. Should i buy a sim card for my phone? A mobile router device that i can carry around and connect to? I've done the former in a few asian countries, the latter in japan. Of course i could forgo mobile data altogether and just wait until I'm in wifi spots. I just don't know... Read More

We plan on visiting California for a 10 day vacation in mid May. Do you have to have a pre test for flying domestic into LAX or any International Airport in California?
I heard you may have to pre test for certain airports even if you fly domestic. We are fully vaccinated. This will be our first time flying since Covid. Thanks in advance. Read More

Amazingly, we have decided to visit these two cities in April of this year. Used up a bunch of lingering e-credit with Delta and staying for a total of nine nights. Have opera tickets in both cities as well as hotel reservations. Usually we simply eat in places that look inviting (breakfasts will be in the hotels) and it has been a long while sinc... Read More

We will be in Florence for a few days at the end of April/beginning of May. We were contemplating a day trip to Pisa + Cinque Terre. We will be renting a car for at least one day for our trip to Montepulciano and Pienza, so am wondering if we should keep the car an extra day for this day trip. This might also work well by having a car for an extra... Read More

Hello all,
I've found some threads from 2020 about T Mobile but thought I would ask for some more recent feedback. I am considering switching to T Mobile to get an iPhone upgrade and have international service without having to get a French SIM which I've done before. I will be going for three months in September of this year. I have a few quest... Read More

Hello/Salut/Ciao/Hej -
I am planning my first trip to Europe from the US. Needless to say, not feasible yet due to pandemic, but I wanted to begin planning for when the pandemic restrictions subside and my fear of contracting COVID via flying has been statistically calmed. That being said, here is my rough plan (albeit most likely not feasible, bu... Read More

I will be celebrating a milestone birthday this December in Paris (December 27th) and would like to experience a tasting menu at a Michelin starred (3 or 2 star) restaurant. I've read LOTS of reviews, "Top 5 or 10" lists and honestly, I'm overwhelmed. I have already eaten at Arpège and Le Meurice (both amazing and experiences I never forget). I lov... Read More

I'm beginning to plan for Sicily, I want to catch the train from Milan and go across on the ferry. I have a month to spare. While in Sicily I would like to do a beach resort stay, some interior towns - with no car so busses, as well as all the must see places, all by train or bus. I'd love to include a ferry to somewhere. I'll be alone and a nervou... Read More

Hi everyone,
I searched the forums and the last discussion of this topic was about 12 years old, so wanted to ask again because I still had some questions. My family of four is traveling to London in May. We're staying in Kensington, then renting a car and driving to Tenterden. We've been told it would be smart to take a train from Victoria S... Read More

Trying to plan the pandemic-delayed trip to Portugal, my first time there.
Best fares seem to be in and out of Lisbon, meaning that I will have to back track to Lisbon the final night before flying back.
So far I have:
3 nights Lisbon
2 nights Cascais/Sintra (rent a car in Lisbon, drive to Cascais/Sintra)
4 nights Algarve (drive from Cascais/S... Read More

I'd appreciate any advice on my itinerary for a trip round the Peloponnese this spring. Any recommendations on these two companies? I've used AutoEurope a few times with great results so I'm inclined to go with them. However, Malagacar.com has much better rates for the size vehicle we need. I've never heard of them before so I'm hoping someone here has some experience with them. The trip is next week so I'm a bit last minute with the... Read More

Probably not, especially if you are a foreigner and not an Austrian and you consider a spare wheel to be part of the mandatory car equipment, which in Austria is not. Here is what happened to us.
We have rented the car from TAFRENT GmbH company (www[dot]tafrent[dot]com) in Villach. We have paid the insurance (KASKO) and the insurance to travel a... Read More
