Begin your evening in the Plaza de María Pita: cafés and tapas bars proliferate off its western corners and inland. Calles Estrella, Franja, Riego de Agua, Barrera, and Galera and the Plaza del Humor have many tapas bars that get progressively busier as the night develops, some of which serve Ribeiro wine in bowls and free tapas with every drink. Start at the top of Calle Estrella (at the farthest end from Plaza de María Pita) beginning with A Taberna de Cunqueiro (Rúa Estrella 22) and work your way back. Night owls head for the posh and pricey clubs around Playa del Orzán (Orzán Beach), particularly along Calle Juan Canalejo. For lower-key entertainment, the old town has cozy taverns and plenty of bars that stay open into the early hours.
