4 Best Restaurants in Kotor, Montenegro

Konoba Scala Santa

$ Fodor's choice

Believed to be the oldest restaurant in Kotor, this rustic eatery is one of the best places in town for lobster, mussels, and fresh fish, such as barbecued zubatac (dentex) drizzled with olive oil and served with a wedge of lemon. The candlelit dining room has exposed stone walls, a wood-beam ceiling hung with fishing equipment, and a big open fireplace. In summer, extra tables are set outside on the piazza.

Marenda Grill House

Grill houses and butcher shops go hand-in-hand, making Marenda Grill House a perfectly placed spot just outside Kotor's Old Town. The interior is nothing to write home about, but this is most definitely substance over style.
