4 Best Nightlife in Bermuda

Frog & Onion Pub

Fodor's choice

This place serves a splendid variety of down-to-earth pub fare in a dark wood and stone setting. If you're spending the day at Dockyard, it's a great place to get out of the sun and try a Bermuda Rum Swizzle or sample a flight of Bermudian-brewed beers. There's a weekly quiz night as well as live performances on Monday night, and karaoke starts at 10 pm on Thursday.

Astwood Arms

Take a seat at the massive and detailed Victorian-style bar that wouldn't be out of place in a London pub. You can opt for an expertly mixed cocktail or taste a selection from the extensive beer menu. This is a great spot for late-afternoon drinks, particularly on the Front Street porch perfect for people-watching.

Flanagan's Irish Pub

With live music or a DJ on weekends and all the expected beverages, as well as a host of fun drinks like frozen mudslides, homey Flanagan's Irish Pub is a firm favorite of folks who like to dance and talk over drinks. Adjoining the Irish pub is its sister bar, Outback Sports Bar, at the same address. Twenty-two giant screens show live sports, and the walls are plastered with photographs of Bermuda's sporting heroes.

Hog Penny Pub

Small, cozy Hog Penny, aka the Cheers bar, was the inspiration for the Bull & Finch Pub in Boston. With dark-wood paneling and hearty, comforting fare like steak-and-kidney pie and bangers and mash, the Hog Penny will likely remind you more of an English country pub than a Boston hangout. Live music plays most nights in the summer, and the floor is cleared for dancing. It can be very busy.
