Hayman Island
All nonmotorized water sports on Hayman Island—well-maintained catamarans, windsurfers, and paddleboards, lined up for guests’ use on Hayman Beach—are included in the room rates. So is the use of Hayman’s swimming pools, well-equipped indoor-outdoor gym, five floodlit tennis courts, squash and basketball facilities, and badminton, Ping-Pong, and croquet equipment. There’s a complimentary golf driving range and 9-hole putting green; aqua-fitness, Zumba and "box fit" classes; and self-guided art and garden walks. You can also order a picnic hamper and arrange a beach drop-off—or take a hike along one of the island's well-maintained bush trails, which take you to lookouts, wildlife hotspots, and pristine beaches, coves, and coral gardens.
Some on-site activities cost extra: personal training sessions (A$85), Pilates and yoga classes (A$20); tennis lessons and clinics (A$20); inflatable-tube rides (from A$70); waterskiing and wakeboarding sessions; scuba training; and guided local tours. The five-star PADI-accredited Marine Centre at Hayman Marina has a training tank for diving lessons, and runs various dive courses, trips, and packages. It also hires and sells everything from snorkel and dive accessories to wet suits. All local aquatic tours and excursions, including guided local sea kayaking, snorkeling, and dive tours, can be booked through the Marine Centre at Hayman Marina. Arrange fitness sessions and off-site excursions—sailing, game-fishing, dive-snorkel outer reef excursions, scenic flights, and heli-golf tours to nearby Dent Island—through the resort or the individual operators (most pick up from Hayman on request).
