The all-marble exterior (and that’s Peruvian marble, by the way) of the Hyatt Centric Lima gives it character, and you’ll only continue to be impressed as you make your way inside. Located in the San Isidro neighborhood, surrounded by businesses, hotels, and trendy co-working spaces, the hotel is one-of-a-kind with impeccable hospitality, an on-site concierge, enormous, design-forward open-concept lobby filled with sculptures and subtle Peruvian touches, and plenty of light. Conference rooms on the lower level are perfect for meetings or events, but anyone interested in exploring Lima would be well-suited to staying here for the sceney rooftop pool and bar, outstanding Peruvian restaurant, and comfort-luxury experience. The space was designed by Enrique Concha & Co., a furniture shop and design and architecture firm based in Santiago.

Room
Out of 254 rooms at Hyatt Centric Lima, there are nine junior suites (one on each floor). Suites come with a large, rotating flat-screen TV in the center of the room.
All rooms have a television with an IP connection so that you can watch Netflix, 400 thread count sheets, a mini bar and safe, locally-produced snacks, complimentary coffee, water, and tea, an alarm clock and speaker with bluetooth pairing for your devices, and a small city guide to Lima. There are also balcony rooms with small balconies overlooking the city. All rooms have handmade art by a Peruvian artist, and are done predominantly in blue and gray.
Bathroom
In line with other Hyatt properties, bathrooms have an all-natural line of bath products from the company BeeKind, and come with salon-grade hairdryers. You’ll find uber-cozy floor-length cotton robes and slippers. Shower nozzles are off to the side to allow you to test the temperature before getting in. Suites have a chic freestanding all-white porcelain tub, dual access to the bathrooms via sliding frosted-glass doors, and a door separating the toilet for added privacy.
Lobby
Grand and open, the lobby embodies modern decadence and is an assault on all senses: it’s visually stunning, with sculptures by Peruvian artists and a shimmering copper wall extending behind the front desk; scents from the on-site restaurant Isidro Bistro and the deli counter waft to greet you; people bustle in and out exchanging friendly chatter. It’s a warm yet upscale space, with ample seating and tables for working plus a station with iMacs.
Pool
A full-size heated pool on the 10th floor next to the bar dominates the rooftop and overlooks the city. At night it's illuminated for a more dramatic experience.
Gym
The 10th floor gym looks out onto the pool to one side, and the skyline to the other. It has ten LifeFitness machines, free weights and weight machines, yoga mats, complimentary headphones and bottled water, a small balcony, sauna, and clean, marble bathrooms.
Dining
Isidro Bistro is just to the right when you walk into the lobby, or directly across from the elevators if you’re coming down from your room. Don’t feel guilty about not leaving the property to dine —this restaurant is a must-try to understand the exceptional quality of Lima cuisine. Helmed by chef Carlos Testino, dining at this sparkling, well-lighted eatery is an experience. Great care is taken to present and plate everything just right: portions are appropriately sized, and dishes are both representative of the region and wholly inventive. Must-try dishes include mouthwateringly good ravioli, various ceviche, innovative seafood, and more.
Breakfast is a buffet, with a waffle station, cleansing juices, pastries, bacon and cold cuts, scrambled eggs, exotic produce, and more. You can also order lunch here.
Tip Dividing the lobby and restaurant is the Awake Deli to Walk, with to-go items including sandwiches, empanadas, croissants, and other baked goods, tea and coffee, smoothies, and fresh juices.
Drinking
Within Isidro Bistro is Isidro’s Bar, which offers beer, wine, and craft cocktails made with care. The upstairs rooftop bar has outdoor heaters and a completely different cocktail program. You’ll want to experience both.

Getting Around
The Isidro neighborhood is about an hour from the airport in traffic, and 35 minutes with no traffic. Arrange pick-up and drop-off with the hotel ahead of your visit.
Restaurants
Try inventive gelato flavors like activated charcoal and coconut at the instagram-friendly Laterria, which also serves specialty coffee drinks. Cala (20-minute drive) is a Peruvian restaurant with absolutely unbeatable ocean views—in fact it sits directly on the beach. Come here for tasty ceviche, sea bass, a wide selection of red wines, and Pisco-based cocktails.
Bars
Osaka (10-minute drive) hosts a DJ on certain nights of the week. With various levels, you can sit outdoors in a cabana and enjoy excellent cocktails while dancing. They serve food as well.
