French artist Patrick Allien earned his place as a much-loved local character thanks to his evocative photographs, prints, and etchings of his adopted hometown, the natural surroundings, and its people. Since his death, his wife Margarida oversees the running of the atelier and the production of the etchings, while one corner of the atelier is dedicated to the contemporary paintings of the couple's son.
