4 Best Nightlife in Central Bolivia, Bolivia

La Boheme

Fodor's choice

Great cocktails and a chilled vibe that draws in nearly all the locals and most expats, La Boheme has become the happily boozy heart of Samaipata. There is a decent wine list, and for food they will order in for you from nearby restaurants (go for La Cocina). There is live music on Saturday and Sunday, so the place fills up fast. All the cocktails are remarkably well made, but definitely try the amaretto sour.

Duda Pop Pub

This funky little pub in central Santa Cruz is the coolest place in town to knock back a couple of drinks. The decor is eclectic, the atmosphere is laid-back yet trendy, and it's all backed up by solid service. Come early if you want a table. The space is small and it fills up quickly.

Mandarina Lounge

A top-class bar in the city's trendiest district, this is the place to go for a cool night out in Cochabamba. It's not cheap, and the crowd dresses to impress, but the decor is beautiful and the cocktails are good, with a wide selection of spirits to choose from. The food, pleasantly, is also well worth it. The dance floor is small, so the ambience stays quite sociable without turning into a full-on dance club.

Na Cunna

This Irish pub and restaurant on Avenida Salamanca (near Lanza) has a very friendly atmosphere and an active role in the city's music scene. They have a large dining menu, but the food definitely takes the back seat here. It's open Tuesday to Saturday from 7:30 pm to about 2:30 am, with bands on Friday or Saturday. The live music makes it popular with young travelers who enjoy blending entertainment with a pint of Guinness.
