A tried-and-true spot for an excellent meal, Rue Franklin has a changing menu with French and contemporary Continental fare, such as braised short ribs in a red-wine sauce or skate in a soy–beurre blanc sauce. French doors open onto a beautiful landscaped courtyard for summer dining. The hushed interior of this sophisticated restaurant, with soft colors and swagged windows, is just as pretty.
