Fashion Show Las Vegas

North Strip Fodor's choice

The frontage of this fashion-devoted mall is dominated by The Cloud—a giant, oblong disc that looms high above the entrance. Ads and footage of the mall's own fashion events are periodically projected across the expanse of this ovoid screen. Inside, the mall is sleek, spacious, and airy—a nice change from some of the claustrophobic casino malls. The mall delivers on its name: fashion shows are staged in the Great Hall on an 80-foot-long catwalk that rises from the floor (on select weekends). Although you can find many of the same stores in the casino malls, there's a smattering of different fare, such as Drybar, which specializes in blowouts; Lolli & Pops, "purveyors of sweetness;" and the only LEGO store in the valley. Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Macy's, Dillard's, and Forever 21 serve as the mall's anchors. Along with an airy food court, dependable chains, including The Capital Grille, Maggiano's, Benihana, and California Pizza Kitchen, offer sit-down dining. There's even a Hello Kitty Café!

Grand Canal Shoppes

North Strip Fodor's choice

This is one of the most unforgettable shopping experiences on the Strip. Duck into shops like Field of Dreams, Sephora, or Peter Lik's gallery of fine-art photography. Amble under blue-sky ceilings alongside the Grand Canal. All roads, balustraded bridges, and waterways lead to St. Mark's Square, an enormous open space filled with Italian opera singers and costumed performers. Watch for the living statues, who will intrigue and amuse. If you need to take a load off, hail a gondola. Closer to The Palazzo, find powerhouse names such as Michael Kors and Tory Burch; shoe lovers will swoon over the Jimmy Choo boutique.

Bonanza "World's Largest Gift Shop"

North Strip

Okay, so it may not, in fact, be the world's largest, but at more than 40,000 square feet, it's Vegas's largest souvenir store. And although it carries most of the usual junk, this peddler of pop-culture kitsch also stocks some most unusual junk. A pair of fuzzy pink dice? Check. Blinking "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign? Check. Elvis aviator sunglasses complete with black sideburns? Check. How about a battery-operated parrot with a potty mouth or a 3-inch plastic slot machine that squirts water? They're all found here, seven days a week, from 8 am to midnight. Check out an area of the store that contains Elvis and Marilyn Monroe gifts. As Bonanza likes to say, "If it's in stock, we have it."
