The Godfrey Hotel Chicago
127 West Huron Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654, USAWhy We Like It
Geared towards young professionals, this boutique hotel hits all the right notes for travelers taking care of business. A LaSalle Street location uniquely positions this property in the midst of the city's River North tech hub and a straight shot to the financial district. Unlike other skyscraper rooftop bars that offer aerial views, its sleek iO Godfrey bar is in the heart of the action, which means guests won't have to travel far to find a solid drink before settling into quiet, comfortable accommodations after a long day.

Tech-friendly millennials who like to mix business with pleasure will feel right at home at this hip boutique hotel in the vibrant River North neighborhood. Room
Modern design draped with gray, deep purple, leather, and velvet accents give rooms a sophisticated feel, along with extra square footage that is surprisingly spacious—a nice bonus for business travelers.
Tip Rooms on the 9th and 13th floors are the largest in the building, and those facing the south side offer the best aerial views of the city.
Bathroom
Spacious yet efficient, bathrooms feature contemporary waterfall showers, bright lights, L’Occitan products, and generous countertop space (all rooms except kings have double sinks).
Lobby
"Discover your element" is the mantra of this hotel, lending to the periodic table-inspired design throughout the property such as the atomic-shaped lighting and modernist furniture. If you're meeting someone for a drink, your best best is to hit the bar at Dolce or the more lounge-like iO Godfrey.
You Should Know Take the massive digital concierge board on-the-go by downloading to your smartphone for walking map of Chicago, including restaurant selections, stores, area maps, and arrival/departure times for flights.
Dining
On the ground floor, Dolce Italian serves up lighter Northern Italian dishes like sharable pastas and cheeses made in-house and a fantastic wine list.
You Should Know Need a quick meal? The restaurant offers a $10 express lunch with an entrée and beer, wine or soft drink—a ridiculously good deal for the business-centric River North neighborhood.
Drinking
iO Godfrey, the property's fourth floor year-round retractable roof bar, is its claim to fame. Natural light and white palette give this lounge a mature Miami feel, with inventive craft cocktail and New American shared plates. During the summer, take advantage of sweeping city views or try to nab one of the individually heated igloos during the winter.
Tip The property doesn’t host many events, but when they do, they go all out. On Halloween, The Godfrey transforms into a haunted hotel taking over an entire floor with elaborate themed rooms.
