Why We Like It

Some of Chicago's most lively and unique attractions are in its local neighborhoods—which can be a real pain in the neck trying to access from the cluster of hotels downtown, particularly late-night when the bar flies are out. Hotel Versey breathes new life into its former worn down digs, offering fun and convenient lodgings at excellent budget-friendly prices. While comfortable and friendly, the property lacks a lot of the frills you'd expect at full-service spots that makes this is a better spot for travelers who plan to spend more time on-the-go than lounging in bed.

Fodor's Expert Review

For those seeking a more local (and budget-friendly) experience, skip out on the downtown hotel cluster and head to this boutique newcomer in the heart of Lincoln Park. The former Days Inn property was recently revamped, offering no frills accommodations with a fun, millennial-friendly vibe.

Tip A prime location nearby Chicago's historic rock music venues means the property has housed folks like Kurt Cobain, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Dave Matthews while under the former ownership.

Updated perks include amenities like Nespresso coffee makers, 50-inch flatscreen wall TVs, and iHome clocks.

No gym on-site, but the property has a day pass relationship with nearby LA Fitness.
