Why We Like It
This is an escape-to or an escape-from type of property. There is not much to do except explore by kayak, lounge in the sun, cool off in the pool, and grill up lunch and dinner. But that’s why people come here, so they can do their own thing.
And although you’re surrounded mostly by old-school furnishings, you’ll feel at home, and even a bit privileged since the property is small and secluded. But our favorite thing is the night sky. We recommend star gazing from your hot tub.

Dare to venture off the main road and be rewarded with a stay on the ocean at Little Conch Key, a secluded island with stilt homes, rooms, and cottages. It has its own shallow, natural sandy beach, kayaks for exploring, and a friendly, helpful staff to make your island getaway the best it can be. The location between Marathon and Islamorada adds to its appeal.
You Should Know Some may find it too quiet and boring, but this is exactly why others will love it.

Room
Wicker or Mahogany? Worn carpet or updated tile? Popcorn ceilings or rare Florida Pine? It depends on your room or cottage. TVs are small, kitchenettes and furnishings are a little worn, but some have private backyards with a hot tub and outdoor shower. Italian chocolates, coffee, and real creamer will be waiting in your room. The estate homes are luxurious and modern and worth the splurge.
Tip You’ll get a basket of oranges (great for juicing!) as a welcome gift.
Bathroom
Many have been updated but there are still areas that need improving like the shower curtains and shower ceiling height. A basket of soaps, lotions, and makeup remover toilettes is in every bathroom. His-and-her bathrobes are a nice touch. Cottages have a rustic, outdoor shower, too.
Lobby
Not a lobby, but rather an office in its own little conch house. Signage is clear so you know right where to go. Step up to the desk/counter and they’re happy to check you in. While you wait, you can buy a baseball hat or coffee cup, or read the post-it note reminders to the staff.
Pool
With a depth of only 5 feet, it’s rather shallow, but ideal for a refreshing dip. Banana trees and brightly colored hibiscus surround the perimeter and you’ll find a few umbrellas, tables, chairs, and woven chaise loungers on the small sundeck.

Dining
There are no restaurants onsite but a complimentary continental breakfast is served daily under the Tiki at the marina.
Tip Arriving late? Order a picnic basket from the concierge and it will be waiting in your room.
Drinking
No bars onsite--but you're welcome to bring your own.
Activities
Guests have free use of kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods, books, and board games. Planning on grilling? They’ve got all the charcoal and lighter fluid you need, even tiki torches and fuel. Wi-Fi is included, too--but it's spotty.

Everything is a few miles away, so either come with supplies and hunker down or plan to drive yourself everywhere--frequently.
Restaurants
The Hideaway Cafe (8-minute drive) is a hidden gem. Once you’re greeted by the well dressed maître d', you’ll swear the cast of Goodfellas is in the kitchen, preparing the hand-cut steaks and escargot. How thin do you want your garlic sliced? Angler and Ale (5-minute drive) offers fish sandwiches and burgers in a casual waterfront setting. Fish Tale Market & Eatery (16-minute drive) has fresher-than-fresh seafood dishes. Check the hours before going.
Bars
Have a cold one and catch the local radio show at Sparky’s Landing (14-minute drive). At Havana Jack’s (14-minute drive) you can sit on the ocean, sip a cocktail, grab a bite, and even dance into the evening. At the Sunset Grille & Raw Bar (23-minute drive), you can swim in their pool, have a drink, or take part in their Sunday Funday BBQ.
