Dolphin Lagoon. You can swim at several areas, but this is the only place where you can get the signature swimming experience—with an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin.

Private Cabanas. Granted, admission to Discovery Cove isn't cheap, but if you can pony up a little more (about $179), you'll enjoy personalized service, complete privacy, a table, chairs, chaise longues, rolled towels, and a well-stocked mini-refrigerator in these tropical waterfront sanctuaries. You can reserve your cabana three weeks in advance.

Snorkeling Pools. There are three spots to snorkel—Serenity Bay, Freshwater Oasis, and the Grand Reef—and they may well be Discovery Cove's most underhyped attractions. It's a real thrill to float lazily and silently amid tropical fish, to swim beneath a waterfall into an elaborate aviary, and to dive down a few feet to peer at sharks and barracuda through the porthole of a wrecked ship. There's also on-site snorkeling instruction.
