Cross Orchards Historic Site

This 10-mile self-guided car tour of the tilted rocks begins at the Dinosaur Quarry. The drive, which takes one to two hours, reaches prehistoric petroglyph sites, a nature trail, and the historic Josie Morris cabin. Stop at Split Mountain Campground and watch the white-water rafters launch. The last 2 miles of the tour are on gravel, but this portion is well maintained.
