Scuba Diving

The ocean around Newfoundland and Labrador rivals the Caribbean in clarity, though certainly not in temperature. There are thousands of known shipwreck sites. One, a sunken whaling ship, is only several feet from the shore of the Conception Bay community of Conception Harbour. The wrecked ship and a wealth of sea life can be explored with a snorkel and a wet suit.

This outfitter leads "Close Encounter Adventures," giving you opportunities to not only see icebergs and whales but to snorkel with the whales and dive to shipwrecks aboard either Zodiacs or a 38-foot custom boat.
