4 Best Sights in Radium, British Columbia

Columbia Valley Wetlands

Over 180 km (112 miles) in length, the Columbia Valley Wetlands is one of the longest wetland regions in North America. It's also one of the few remaining intact portions of the "Pacific Flyway", a major north-south pathway for migratory birds in America, extending from Alaska to Patagonia. This protected ecosystem provides sanctuary for over 216 animal species, including birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals, and more than 250 different migrating bird species. One of the best ways to explore the wetlands is via canoe or kayak.

Radium Brewing

This is Radium's newest addition, and first craft brewery. Views of the nearby mountainscape from the large, raised deck, coupled with a cold frothy pint, are the perfect combo. The brewery doesn't serve food, but they encourage guests to bring in their own from the nearby snack shack, pizzeria, and other local eateries.

Sinclair Canyon Trail and Picnic Area

This lovely trail system follows a 2-km (1.2-mile) loop, crossing Sinclair Creek with two footbridges. Interpretive signs educate users on the environment and history of the area. There are picnic tables by the lower parking lot, and benches along the trail provide good rest stops to enjoy the scenery.
