When to Go

The Bay Islands average an annual temperature of 29°C (85°F). The hottest months are May to September, when temperatures tick up into the 90s with nearly 100% humidity most days. The rainy season is generally between early October and February and dive boats run regardless, except during heavy storms. Temperatures might drop to 25°C (77°F) at this time. Hurricane season is mid-September to early November, although the islands are considered below the tropical hurricane belt and haven't had a major hurricane hit since 1998.
