Sorry! We don't have any recommendations for Puerto Viejo de Talamanca right now.
The distinction between dining spot and nightspot blurs as the evening progresses, as many restaurants become pleasant places to linger after dinner. You'll also find bars with live music on certain nights. The town's main drag is packed with pedestrians, bicycles, and a few cars most evenings, the block between Café Viejo and Hot Rocks getting the most action. Wander around; something is bound to entice you. Be aware that some of the strictly local hangouts get pretty rough around the edges at night. The Lazy Mon Beach Café, which everyone knows by its former name, Stanford's, is used as a landmark for finding addresses on the road heading out of town toward Playa Cocles, but it's one of those rough places. We recommend against it. When out after dark, ask a staff member at the restaurant, bar, or club to call you a taxi when you’re ready to call it an evening.

You can hear live music many Saturday evenings at this organic-food restaurant.
Tuesday is $2 taco night at the lively, sometimes rowdy, Tasty Waves Cantina. There's live music on Friday and karaoke on Saturday. Movies get under way at 7:30 pm on Monday and occasionally other nights of the week as well.
