This is a great place to buy locally produced gourmet preserves typical of the region, such as bacalao a gallega "Los Peperetes" (Galician cod), bonito en aceite de oliva "La Pureza" (bonito tuna fish in olive oil), mejillones en escaveche (mussels marinated in a vinegary pimiento sauce often used to preserve fish), and calamares en su tinta (squid in its ink).
