Although you'll find outlets for all the famous international designers in Warsaw, it is much more exciting to look for creations of young and talented local designers, and their work is often a real bargain with prices somewhere between popular prêt-à-porter and true designer treasures. Warsaw has been blessed with quite a few local talents, and their studios are scattered around town, usually away from the main shopping streets.
Designer clothing by Gosia Baczyńska, who is now running her own boutique, is popular with Polish celebrities; her collection—modern and classically elegant at the same time—represented Polish fashion culture at the European Union accession ceremony.
