Bus Travel

Reykjavík Excursions has daily service in the summer months from Reykjavík to Höfn, as well as into the highlands, to Landmannalaugar and Þórsmörk. Stops along the coast include Hveragerði, Selfoss, Hella, Hvolsvöllur, Skógar, Vík, Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Skaftafell, and Jökulsárlón. The journey to Vík takes less than four hours by car, and a little over five hours by bus; to Þorlakshöfn or Selfoss takes about one hour from Reykjavík.
