Air Travel

Air Iceland (Flugfélag Íslands) has 45-minute-long flights from Reykjavík to Akureyri. Air Iceland also flies from Akureyri to Grímsey, Egilsstaðir, Ísafjörður, and Vopnafjörður Þórshöfn in Denmark's Faroe Islands, as well as to several locations in Greenland. Eagle Air flies from Reykjavík to Höfn and Vestmannaeyjar, as well as to Bíldudalur, Gjögur, and Húsavík, in the summer months. The Mýflug air charter company, based at the Mývatn airfield, flies daily charters upon request and also offers various sightseeing flights.
