Fodor's Expert Review Te og Kaffí

$ Reykjavik Café

The couple largely responsible for starting the modern Icelandic coffee revolution runs Te og Kaffí, Iceland’s biggest coffee chain. From its humble beginnings in 1984, the company now boasts its own roastery and operates twelve shops. Six are in downtown Reykjavík, three of which are inside Eymundsson bookstores, so you can enjoy a good read or write out a postcard while sipping on a smooth, barista-brewed double latte or macchiato. They sell great tea as well and their own brand of light refreshments with cookies, cakes, and delicious frosted muffins—get there early to claim your citron muffin, they simply don’t make enough of everyone’s favorite flavor!
