Klods Hans
This store opened just after World War II to cater to all the American soldiers on leave who wanted to bring back Danish gifts. It's still jam-packed with mobiles, cutouts, and Danish flags and dolls.

Sorry! We don't have any recommendations for Odense right now.
Odense's compact city center has clothing, furniture, and shoe stores, and a Magasin department store. The main shopping strips are Vestergade and Kongensgade. Rosengårdcentret, one of northern Europe's largest malls, is 5 km (3 miles) west of Odense. It has more than 125 shops and food outlets, including trendy clothing stores; jewelry, woodwork, and antiques shops; a multiplex; and a post office.
Denmark is well known for its paper cutouts, inspired, in part, by Hans Christian Andersen. Using a small pair of scissors and white paper, he would create cutouts to illustrate his fairy tales. Today replicas of Andersen's cutouts are sold at several Odense gift stores. Also popular are mobiles, often depicting Andersen-inspired themes like swans and mermaids. Uniquely Danish—and light on the suitcase—they make great gifts to take home.
