Fodor's Expert Review National Gallery of Victoria International
This massive, moat-encircled, bluestone-and-concrete edifice houses works from renowned international painters, including Picasso, Renoir, and Van Gogh. It also hosts international blockbuster exhibitions that require tickets. In the Great Hall, it's considered perfectly reasonable to stretch out on the floor in order to properly appreciate the stained glass ceiling by Leonard French. A second branch of the National Gallery, in Federation Square in the city center, exhibits only Australian art.
