Mossman

The spectacular wilderness around Mossman is ideal terrain for adventure sports and outdoor activities. If you have a day—or even a few hours—to spare, you can explore beaches, rain forest, and bushland trails on horseback, mountain bike, or ATV; take a scenic trek through Mossman Gorge; or drift-snorkel in the Upper Mossman River. The region’s indigenous guardians, the Kuku Yalanji, run guided tours of Mossman Gorge and their coastal hunting grounds near Wonga Beach, in the World Heritage–listed Daintree rain forest.
