Fodor's Expert Review Forty One
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
The view east over the harbor is glorious, the private dining rooms are plush, and Dietmar Sawyer's Asian-influenced classical food is top-notch. The set-price six-course dinner menu (A$150) might include steamed Western Australian yabby tails with asparagus and bread sauce, and espresso parfait with dark chocolate and Grand Marnier sauce for dessert. The vegetarian menu, with the likes of Ossau Iraty sheep's-milk cheese on a salad of apples, dates, celeriac, and walnuts, is sublime. There are two- (A$65) and three-course (A$80) menus for lunch, which is arguably the best time to savour the amazing views.
