Planning Your Time

Allocate a few days to Nha Trang—a visit to VinPearl Land takes a full day, as does an island tour or an excursion to one of the beautiful beaches outside of town. A beach break in Mui Ne or Quy Nhon should take several days. The major sights of Dalat can be taken in over a couple of days. The Central Highlands need more time, especially if planning to travel by road (or Easy Rider) between Lak Lake, Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, and Kon Tum. The back roads in this area are much more interesting and scenic than the main road, but take more time to traverse. Allow at least two days in Cat Tien National Park.
