Hotels

Accommodation in this region runs the gamut from very basic government-run one-star hotels to backpacker hostels to international-standard five-star hotels with all the bells and whistles you could possibly imagine. Nha Trang and Mui Ne have, in recent years, experienced a boom in fancy beach resorts, while high up in Dalat, local entrepreneurs have been focusing on smaller boutique properties that take advantage of the area's cooler climate and natural beauty. Outside these centers the offerings are mixed, with many run-down budget hotels and a surprising number of quirky choices, from traditional long houses to charming new high-quality hotels. Yet the coastlines both north and south of Nha Trang are unlikely to be left untouched for much longer.
