9 Best Restaurants in Phuket and the Andaman Coast, Thailand

For a change of pace from Thai food, head to this Italian restaurant specializing in seafood and Sicilian specialities. Dishes are presented with flair and the busy dining room is a lively backdrop. The restaurant is decorated in black and white, features an outstanding wine list and the signature degustation menus.

If you find yourself craving European dishes like pizza, schnitzel, and hearty sausages, this is one of the best places in town. The portions are large, the atmosphere is casual, and the prices are affordable.

This delightful sea view restaurant in Lanta Old Town is known for its fresh seafood and Thai cuisine, but also serves great burgers and has a separate vegetarian menu. The staff are quick to recommend favorite Thai dishes, in particular the tamarind prawns and the tart pomelo salad. Great atmosphere and wonderful location. 

With a back terrace that overlooks the beach and a pleasant atmosphere, this is a good spot for fresh seafood, classic Thai favorites, and specialities from northern Thailand.  The chicken satay here is particularly good.

The menu at this simple Thai restaurant is encyclopedic, but the speciality is Tom Yam Pla, a spicy fish soup. The open-air setting is pleasant and the charming owner is happy to chat—he speaks a variety of languages. 

In the heart of the action, this bar–cafe is the kind of place you just want to keep coming back to. The menu is a mix of Thai classics and Tex-Mex favorites and there's live music most nights. The Chicken Burritos are highly recommended.
