Visitor Information

Chengdu and Chongqing don't offer much useful English-language visitor information, but five-star hotels, Western cafés, and guesthouses are good places to ask around. The centrally located Shangri-La Hotel produces a highly useful city map including all the major tourist attractions along with color pictures and directions in Mandarin for taxi drivers.
