Chinese-run hotels in Sichuan and Chongqing offer adequate accommodations at a reasonable price, but the staff usually won't speak English. There are more and more international five-star hotels in Chengdu and Chongqing. In destinations such as Jiuzhaigou and Ciqikou, guesthouses are also an option.
