Fodor's Expert Review Kohinoor
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Moghul-influenced design elements immediately set a tone of quiet, informal elegance at this hotel restaurant. Naan breads, piquant dips, and slightly spicy lamb samosas are great starters. The cuisine is the less-fiery northern Indian: among the best entrées are the superb lamb rogan gosht and the subtle, tender, tandoori-baked chicken tikka. Curries or the flavorsome dhal makham (beans, lentils, and onions in a spicy sauce) are vegetarian options. Finish with fragrant kulfi ice cream or the exotic elaichi kheer rice pudding. The lunch buffet is an excellent value.
