Bus Travel

Buses connect the Brazilian town of Manaus to the Venezuelan town of Santa Elena de Uairén, a trip that takes six hours and costs Bs.F100. Almost all of Venezuela can be traversed by bus, the least expensive and often most agreeable way to see the country. Your best bet is using the private carriers, usually referred to as rápidos (express buses). Private companies typically accept reservations and offer comforts such as assigned seats, air-conditioning, toilets, and on-board attendants.
