Removed from the Old City and attached to the flashy Punta Carretas shopping center, the Sheraton Montevideo is one of the city's biggest hotels. You'll find all the comforts of a corporate hotel, including spacious rooms, good Wi-Fi, a large indoor pool, and a good gym. It's also only a five-minute walk from one of the city's many fine beaches. You will need a cab, however, to reach most sights.
