Lima

Hundreds of stores around Lima offer traditional crafts of varying quality. The same goes for silver and gold jewelry. Wander down Avenida La Paz in Miraflores and you'll be astounded at the number of shops selling silver knick-knacks, elaborate jewelry, and antiques. The district is also full of crafts shops, many of them along Avenida Petit Thouars. For upscale merchandise, many shoppers head to the boutiques of San Isidro. For original works of art and the highest-quality handicrafts, Barranco has excellent small galleries.
