Hotels

Hotels run the gamut in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, from low-end backpacker dorms to splurgey five-star hotels. (Note that what are referred to as hostels, or hostales, here are often lovely low-cost bed-and-breakfasts.) If you like to travel in style, you’ve got plenty of choices, and virtually all of them in Cusco are in historical buildings, many with Incan foundations. Lodgings in Cusco have shockingly early checkout times: expect to have to vacate your room by 9 or 10 am. All lodgings will hold your luggage if you're not leaving town until later in the day, as well as while you are off on a trek or on a side trip.
