The city's financial center, Centro Internacional, lies to the north of La Candelaria. This district, built largely in the 1970s, is fringed by Parque de la Independencia and Parque Bavaria, welcome areas of green in a concrete jungle. Among the modern office buildings you'll find a few interesting museums and the city's Spanish-style bullring.
