Bus Travel

Service between Puerto Montt and Coyhaique is by private operators such as Kemel and Becker. A nearly 48-hour journey including fjord crossings via ferry, it is a long haul but very scenic; you must overnight in the town of Chaitén before heading south to Coyhaique. Another option to get to Coyhaique are buses departing from Bariloche, Argentina.
