Chepu

This is a stop for hardcore nature lovers. Here at a confluence of three rivers, the Chepu River valley forms before merging finally into the Pacific Ocean. Along the way it passes through wetlands and sunken forest created by the 1960 earthquake, the most powerful quake on record. This area is overflowing with 128 species of birds and is a great spot for kayaking and hiking along the shoreline.
