The sidewalk along Avenida Beira-Mar is a pleasant place for a walk, run, or bike, and there's usually a pickup volleyball or soccer game in progress on the beach—although beware of asking to join in unless your skills are up to scratch. There are also running tracks and sports courts in the 25-km-long (16-mile-long) Parque do Cocó, on Avenida Pontes Vieira.
