São Paulo

Maybe it's the environment or maybe the culture, but participating in organized sports isn't usually a huge part of a paulistano's regime. An exception is soccer, or futebol, which you will see being played in most parks, either on full fields, half-size arenas, or even sandy courts, every weekend and on weeknights. Basketball and volleyball also have loyal, if smaller, followings at parks and SESC centers around the city.
