Parque Nacional Lanin

The dramatically beautiful Parque Nacional Lanín contains 35 mountain lakes, countless rivers, ancient forests, and the Volcán Lanín. Tucked into the folds of the Andes along the Chilean border, it stretches 150 km (93 miles) north to south, covering 4,120 square km (1,590 square miles). The area is home to the Mapuche, and you can learn about their history and buy their handicrafts in one of the 50 communities throughout the park.
