Fodor's Expert Review 647 Dinner Club
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
The 1930s-Shanghai-meets-1970s-Los-Angeles vibe is made possible by black walls, smoky mirrors, pink furnishings, crystal chandeliers, and photos of hot naked women. It's a really cool place to have a cocktail (the drink menu is impressive), but unfortunately, the food disappoints. It's not for lack of trying, though. The menu is large and imaginative, but ultimately uninspired and overpriced. There are some highlights, though. The duck strudel with Brie cheese appetizer is tasty, as are the various fish plates and the duck cooked three ways.
