Casper Mountain. Casper Mountain is an iconic landmark for residents and tourists alike. There are a number of hiking and mountain biking trails, camping spots, an archery range and even a small ski resort on the mountain. Platte River Parkway. The Platte River Parkway hiking trail runs adjacent to the North Platte River in downtown Casper. Access points are at Amoco Park at 1st and Poplar streets, or at Crosswinds Park, on North Poplar Street near the Casper Events Center. Also at the Amoco Park is Casper's own white water park, with a man-made rock structure to simulate rapids for kayakers and boaters. Casper, Wyoming.
