Fodor's Expert Review Sweet Laurette Café and Bistro
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Paris meets the Pacific Northwest in this Uptown bistro, where classic French bistro fare meets contemporary, farm-to-table flair. Chef-owner Laurette Feit—known by her nickname, Lolo—sources her ingredients, including grass-fed beef, organic eggs, and wild king salmon, from local farmers and fishermen. Exquisitely presented entrées—think lamb shanks with creamy polenta; steak au poivre; king salmon topped with black-olive-and-sun-dried-tomato butter—feature beautifully balanced flavors, colors, and textures. Profiteroles, flourless chocolate torte, and crème brûlée are signature desserts.
