Less than a mile uphill from downtown, and surrounded by meticulously cared for gardens, this inviting 1926 inn overlooks the mountains and the bay and contains elegant rooms with Victorian furnishings and wallpapers. Rooms are themed for the four seasons, along with Indian summer. Spring has a breezy balcony, and the roomy Indian Summer two-bedroom suite occupies a separate carriage house.
