East Dallas

East Dallas is the most eclectic section of the city; it's really a conglomeration of proud neighborhoods, each with its own identity. Swiss Avenue is lined with gorgeous mansions. The Hollywood/Santa Monica neighborhood includes Tudor, Craftsman, French eclectic, and Pueblo Revival style homes. In Lakewood you'll find a mix of grand homes and charming cottages, many dating to the 1920s and '30s. Most of East Dallas is pedestrian friendly, and you'll certainly want to get out of your car and walk around to appreciate the neighborhoods' beauty and distinct architectural styles.
