Located on 16 acres overlooking adjacent farms and woodlands, this hotel offers comfortable, albeit basic, quarters geared toward budget travelers and those traveling with pets. Despite the original name, little of historic value is on display in the rooms, but the on-site restaurant, the Fireside Tavern, is locally owned, serving up a mix of pub-style sandwiches, burgers, and other hearty fare. There's outdoor deck seating when weather permits.
